A new star is born as competition winner and mother of two, Charlotte Pearce from Stoke On Trent, takes to the stage at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham 1 November 2019 with the A Star Is Born This Way Tour.
World N.O.1 Lady Gaga Tribute and consecutive winner of Best National Female Tribute Artist, Donna Marie, brings her two-in-one show to Nottingham with special guest, Charlotte Pearce. Charlotte has won a competition to perform a ten-minute guest spot in ‘A Star Is Born This Way’ at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. The show starring Donna Marie as Lady Gaga and Adam Kelbie as Bradley Cooper, starts with the emotional journey of the hit film A Star Is Born. The second half starts with the guest performance and is followed by a Lady Gaga party which will promise to get you singing along.
The 33-years-young winner says, “A Star Is Born is one of my favourite films and Gaga one of my favourite performers. I can’t wait to see Donna in action.”
Pearce describes herself as creative, humorous and determined and says she’ll sing until she runs out of breath. Donna, who has been a judge on BBC One’s All Together Now, recognises how hard it is to be a performer these days so she set up a competition to offer a guest spot on her tour and give talent a helping-hand.
Charlotte says “Many people dream of an opportunity like the one of Ally in A Star Is Born. I am so thankful that I get to have that experience, thanks to this show.”
For her audition, Charlotte Pearce performed a powerful rendition of ‘Fall In Line’ by Christina Aguilera. Not only did it win her the competition, it has a message close to Charlotte’s heart who says “Perfect is unattainable so don’t Fall In Line. Be true to yourself and everything will fall into place”.
Charlotte spends a lot of her spare time being creative and can be seen as the lead singer of a cover band, Cherry Grove, performing around Staffordshire. So when her sister told her about the competition and she won, Charlotte was very pleased: “It has always been my dream to perform to a large crowd and I am so thankful that my dream will become a reality. I hope it isn’t the last!”
“I have always sung for my family, however I only took the plunge to perform outside of my circle 10 months ago when I joined Cherry Grove.” Charlotte hopes she’ll have many more opportunities to add to the book of life, she’s sorry her Grandparents won’t be able to see her perform at such a big venue, “I know that they’d be so proud”. With such a large performance, she’s nervous but she’s “come to realise that you should follow your dreams above everything else. Nerves mean you care- and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! As someone once told me, I’ve got to sing like no one is listening.”
Charlotte can’t wait for her family and friends to come and see her perform alongside A Star Is Born This Way. She’s had a tough time narrowing down her guest spot but she plans to make the most of her time to shine. She encourages everyone to come along and see her and the A Star Is Born This Way team perform and do what they love. “We make our own destiny, opportunities can come out of nowhere. Do what you love and enjoy what you do.”
