So, everyone who watches Britain’s Got Talent will know Tokio Myers won 2017 tv talent show, Tokio auditioned playing a piano to the song of Debussy’s “Clair de lune which then turned into Ed Sheeran’s Bloodstream which caught everyone in the audience’s attention and there’s no denying its brilliance in creation.

After winning the 2017 Britain’s Got Talent in an interview Tokio talked about his album he was creating saying on the lines of
“This is a powerful album, man — a very powerful album” and after previewing it he isn’t far off the mark with that statement.
Our Generation consists of 13 songs all of which are very different but shows Tokio Myers style of music he is bringing into the current music market.

Track Listing:

Red
Baltimore
Bloodstream
Angel
Limitless
Mercy
To Be Loved
Children (Interlude)
Children
Polaroid
Our Generation
Lotus Flower
Pursuit Of Happiness

Red, Limitless, Polaroid, Our Generation all show off Tokio Myers piano skills and with so much depth into the songs bringing raw
passion and emotion through a single piano this truly shows all the hard work that has paid off and the songs do him justice.

Now the rest of the tracks, you’re probably thinking are just piano with a bit of upbeat music like on BGT. Well, you would be wrong.
These songs show off Tokios creative side mixing dance with drum & bass style music with blended vocals. All tracks will keep you
guessing on where its leading too. Tracks in my eyes to look out for are: Ed Sheeran’s Bloodstream, which sounds similar to the version you heard and liked on the tv talent show, but the album version has a bit more to it and if played loud packs a bit of a punch too, I liked the song when he first performed it, and I still like it now, its a song that grows on you.

Children by the late great Robert Miles, now this track has a similar beat to the original but a heck of a twist with electronic tempo and a drum & bass beat with a mixture of vocals thrown in. This is a track that would be good in clubs being played it’s different, it’s unique and not like other remixes that have been heard.

Angel threw me a little. As I was listening to it I thought ok this is a long deep into mainly piano playing but after a short while the music really kicks in along with the vocals which don’t last overly long but sounds really really good once you hear it.

Tokio Myers isn’t usually my genre of music but for me, its one of those with a soft easy listening edge mixed with a get on your feet and dance around backing its certainly different and an album that I think a lot of people will like, a lot of work has gone into this and you can tell, great work by a really great artist who I think will make a great impact in the music industry and I hope to see collaborating with other artists.
