From a blow dry menu packed with the latest hair trends to popular beauty treatments including spray tans, nail paints and massages, Beauty Temple has expanded its Nottinghamshire offering with a second salon.
Located just three miles out of Nottingham on Westdale Lane West in Mapperley, the new salon is now up and running, following on from their first city centre location on Queen Street.
The Beauty Temple Mapperley opened its doors on Tuesday 27 June and is hoping to bring something different to the area with a dedicated Blow Dry Bar – where guests can choose a particular hair style from a menu of packages.
This is the third business venture for owners Lucy Goodwin and Martin Goodwin, after initially launching the Beauty Temple salon on Queen Street in February 2006 and then the Owl House Day Spa, in Diseworth, in July 2011.
At the Blow Dry Bar in Mapperley, customers are given a dedicated brochure where they can pick from packages including the Royal Blow Dry for £25, the Bottomless Prosecco Blow Dry for £35 and the Ultimate Blowout at £65. They are then asked to select a style for their hair – with options such as a sleek and straight look, tousled tresses, beach waves or a braid.
The salon is also one of the first in Nottinghamshire to offer the ‘Chelsea Blow Dry’ – a style also known as The Duchess as it is inspired by Kate Middleton’s favourite bouncy and soft blow dry look.
And for customers wanting a cocktail with a difference with their blow dries, the new salon is stocking Milk Shake products – a range of hair treatments that are mixed into formulas for each hair type and need. There are also a range of ‘colour cocktails’ for guests to create a bespoke semi-permanent hair dye.
As well as offering hair services at the new Mapperley salon, the business is sticking to its roots in the beauty and spa industry and has a packed brochure of available treatments. This includes the Hot Stone Back Massage, St Tropez spray tans, Elemis body wraps and the Super Food Facial.
Similar to the city centre salon, the new venue will also have a champagne nail bar where guests can be pampered all while enjoying a glass of bubbly or a cocktail. Available treatments include the Bottomless Bubbly Manicure for £36, the Rose Garden Hand Treatment for £22 and the Royal Pedicure at £32.
When the sun’s out, guests will be able to enjoy a drink and homemade cake in the salon’s secret garden – a secluded outdoor area to the rear of the venue.
The salon is available to hire for children’s birthday parties and hen-dos, and for Nottingham brides, there is a tailored menu of treatments to help in getting ready for the big day. For bridal hair and make-up, there are the silver, gold and platinum packages to choose from, while the salon can also provide bespoke bridal hair accessories that are individually designed to suit any bridal look or theme. The stylists at the salon will also travel to a bride’s home or venue on the day for an extra cost.
Owner Lucy Goodwin said: “I’m over the moon that the Mapperley salon is finally up and running. It’s been a dream of mine to open a second salon and I knew that this would be the perfect location to bring all that the Beauty Temple has to offer.
“This salon is slightly different to the first as we have our Blow Dry Bar, and I’m confident that guests will enjoy popping in and treating themselves to one of our blow dry styles. Everyone loves being pampered and whether you’re heading to an important work meeting, a formal occasion or a night out with friends, we can give you the ultimate package in getting ready.”
