Award winning cookery author, entrepreneur and a champion of plant-based living, Ella Mills, the founder of Deliciously Ella, will make her Festival of Food and Drink debut this September.
Ella is best known for her six best-selling books including Deliciously Ella The Plant Based Cookbook, Deliciously Ella, and Quick & Easy, as well as the Deliciously Ella range of plant based food products in supermarkets across the country from Tesco to Boots, Waitrose and Ocado.
“I’m thrilled to be coming to the Festival of Food and Drink in September,” said Ella. “It’s brilliant to be back cooking for live audiences again and showing everyone how interesting and delicious plant-based food can be.”
With a social media audience of 2.5 million people, Ella will make a rare appearance in the free-to-attend Cookery Theatre, hosted by chef and TV Presenter Joe Hurd, on Saturday 17th September.
Event organiser Bev Channell said “We are thrilled to have Ella joining us as she’s not a name you usually see at food festivals. We are delighted she has chosen to join us. The awareness of plant-based foods has increased so much over the past few years and we can’t wait to see what Ella demonstrates for our audience.”
Ella will appear alongside Great British Bake Off finalist Chigs Palmar, who also makes his Clumber Park debut on Saturday 17th September. Strictly Come Dancing finalist and Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite appears on Sunday 18th September with more guests still to be announced.
A celebration of local producers and global flavours, the Festival of Food and Drink attracts some of the UK’s best traders and street food vendors with new companies added each year including many Vegan producers.
There’s also plenty of family entertainment including children’s cookery and art workshops, fantastic live music, and stunning giftware. It’s no surprise that the Festival of Food and Drink is the biggest and most popular in the region.
Ticket prices start from just £10 in advance for the Festival of Food and Drink with free admission to see the cookery demonstrations as well as entry into Clumber Park included (usually £5 per adult). Family tickets are also available. Children aged five years and under are admitted free with a paying adult. For more info, visit www.festivaloffoodanddrink.com
