Last night saw the annual Nottingham Best Bar None Awards with three of its venues picking up awards during the night, including the prestigious Overall Best Bar None winner 2013 which went to the city’s most famous venue Rock City.
City, which has been a staple of the Nottingham club scene for over 30 years, and this year saw it’s first ever Nottingham headliner set out, also picked up both the Best Club – Judges Choice and Best Club – Public’s choice awards in something of a clean sweep
Two other DHP venues also picked up awards with The Bodega winning the Best Medium Bar – Judges Choice and The Rescue Rooms picking up the Public’s Choice version of the same award.
Speaking of the win DHP Family Operations Manager Julie Tippins said:
“At DHP Family, we work very hard to ensure that our venues are not only great places to come to but also operate to the highest standards. The Best Bar None Scheme is well supported by many bars, clubs and venues in Nottingham, as it’s an effective way to keep venues striving to improve in areas of licensing compliance and safety. We’re very proud of our venue teams, the awards they’ve won this year have been richly deserved.”
The Best Bar None awards is a national scheme supported by the Home office – and administered in Notts by the Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) and recognises and rewards excellence in venue management.
We’d like to congratulate all at DHP on the win, we’ve seen many a great gig at all three venues and all are worthy of the recognition.
