Doctor Who star Mandeep Gill has been announced as a guest for this years EM-CON, which is back at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena this June. Gill, who recently left the hit BBC show after three years as Yasmin Khan, assistant to Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth doctor, will be appearing at her first convention outside of London.
As well as announcing the appearance of Gill, who has also starred in the likes of Casualty, Cuckoo and Doctors, it was also announced that Franz Drameh will also be a guest this year. Drameh is best known for his role as Jefferson Jackson aka Firestorm in CW’s Arrowverse.
Gill and Drameh join a host of already announced guests including Nottingham born Gavin & Stacy star Matt Horne, The Mandalorian’s Katy O’Brien, Joseph Marcell best known for playing Geoffrey in the Will Smith fronted hit show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and John Rhys-Davis who played the iconic role of Fellowship member Gimli in The Lord of the Rings.
