I was intrigued by the rather vulgar and delinquent name of this band and EP and so looked forward to this review, it did not disappoint. You get kind of what you would expect from the name . Guitar based, pub-rockesque, psychobilly punky music (they call it ‘B-Movie ShlockHorror Transdimentional Trash’) that is reminiscent of The Cramps, The Damned, The Rezillos and more recently Pink Grease.
All the musicians are tight and led more than adequately by Dick Venom who is clearly creating a strong image vocally, so much so that I will do my best to get to The Salutation on August 24th for their forthcoming appearance to see if he carries it off live.
This 5 track EP, available on their website for free download or for purchase on limited edition cassette tape (remember them?), follows the psychobilly vibe of the artists mentioned very well indeed. There is no stand out track as they are all equally proficient in delivering the vibe of their chosen genre. If the aforementioned bands are your thang then I would highly recommend you check these guys out…and I’ll see you at The Sal on the 24th.
