On a chilly Tuesday night in February, fashion bloggers from around the city were treated to an exclusive showcase and style presentation on this season’s biggest catwalk trends that are getting ready to be shown at the main Nottingham In Fashion events that kick off in a few weeks.
The 24th and 25th March are the days that style bloggers from in and around Notts will flock to the front row of the the Council House to see these fabulous spring trends come to life. During the It’s in Nottingham fashion event, bloggers were treated to tasty pizza from MOD pizza, sparkly cocktails containing edible glitter and cupcakes galore as well as a stunning mini fashion show featuring models from Blake Models and some of the latest trends from stores around the city. The event contains everyone from independent designer boutique Gigi Bottega to high street favourites like French Connection.
The trends showcased ranged from checked suits, perfect for spring time garden parties and adding some va-va-voom to office wardrobes to ‘Spring Bling’ – a trend all about florals and even statement sportswear which combines sporty styles with luxurious fabrics and some awesome vintage pieces from COW Nottingham. Everything was styled by Kimmy Rolfe, a Leicester based stylist and personal shopper.
The Nottingham In Fashion events are organised by the Nottingham Bid and are free to attend. There’s not just fashion going on either, luxury beauty experts Bobbi Brown will be prepping the models for the catwalk and Urban Decay and Beauty Temple will be offering free mini treatments over the weekend from the dedicated fashion bus which you’ll find parked in the Old Market Square, just in front of the Council House.
