After last year’s success, Godiva, the luxury Belgian chocolatier, is now taking entries for their annual Chocolate challenge, and they’ve asked NottinghamLIVE to let you know about it!
The nationwide event seeks to discover the country’s best amateur patissier, whilst raising awareness of Breast Cancer.
The final will take place during Chocolate Week in October, which coincides with the launch of Godiva’s latest collection Mousse Meringue AND Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 10% of future sales of the Mousse Meringue in the UK are being donated to Breast Cancer Now.
This year’s entry requirements are linked to the new collection and of course, pink, the colour that supports breast cancer awareness.
Your creation must include:
1. Chocolate
2. Meringue
3. A touch of pink
Lucky finalists will cook for judges William Sitwell (writer and MasterChef food critic), Mark Hix (leading British restauranteur, Jean Apostolou (Godiva’s head chocolatier), and a mystery judge (ooh!)
The Prize!
All four finalists will enjoy a 5- star weekend trip to Brussels whilst the winning dessert will be served in Mark Hix’s Soho restaurant. The winner will also be given a tour by chef Jean around Godiva’s Atelier of chocolate Innovation.
The. Team of the UK media are invites to the Alno Showroom in London, on 13th October, to sample the winning desserts and meet the judges and finalists. All guests will be able to try the brand new Mousse Meringue collection and get a tantalising glimpse of what Godiva has in store for Christmas 2015.
To enter visit: www.godivachocolates.co.uk/recipe before 30th September.
Godiva would also absolutely love for you to blog about your recipe creations, and challenge others to take part. The more sharing that happens, the more they can raise awareness for Breast Cancer.
They’d love to see your kitchens in a mess, your chocolate melting and your creations taking shape. Tweet them all to @GodivaUK #GodivaChallenge @LuxxPR @BreastCancerNow
