Now in its third year, the Festival has quickly developed a fantastic following of fabulous food and drink producers, artisan specialists and food experts, making it the biggest event of its kind in the region, with over 150 of the region’s best brands all under one roof in the Food and Drink Marquee.
Delicious catering with gorgeous food and drinks await you as well as appearances from a celebrity chefs John Torode, Chetna Makan, John Burton Race, Mark Lloyd and Anjula Devi in the Celebrity Cookery Theatre
Hugely popular, John Torode is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of BBC1’s Masterchef as well as writing a number of hugely popular cookbooks with his new book My Kind of Food released in September
Chetna Makan won the hearts of last years Great British Bake Off viewers with her weekly experimentations, flavour combinations and fancy baking skills and she will be adding a new flavour at the festival on Sunday 20th giving demonstrations as well as signing autographs and offering advice to baking enthusiasts. Since the programme Chetna has been commissioned to create recipes for Jamie Oliver, Standard Issue and Food Network among others.
Michelin star chef John Burton Race has appeared in many reality TV shows before opening his highly acclaimed London Restaurant The New Angel. Such is the success of John’s restaurant, he is bringing his Head Chef Stephen Humphries with him, to showcase his skills in the kitchen
There are also interactive classes for both children and adults from the School of Artisan Food, covering everything from barbecuing to butchery for adults, and pizza, bread and ice cream making for the children.
With book signings, a children’s play area, the Beautiful Things gift and homewards marquee, live music, and plenty of food and drink to try and buy, it’s a feast for the senses and a great day out for all the family.
