RENOWNED restaurant, Iberico World Tapas is set to open its latest venture in the heart of Nottingham later this month (22 August), with a brand new all-day tapas bar.
Situated on Carlton Street in Hockley, Bar Iberico will provide a more informal experience for customers, serving simple but delicious tapas food.
The new bar will be owned by Provenance Tapas who have already seen huge popularity with two award-winning Iberico restaurants in Nottingham and Derby and its high-end restaurant World Service.
Director at Provenance Tapas, Dan Lindsay is looking forward to opening Bar Iberico’s doors to its customers on 22 August.
He said: “It is very exciting to be launching a new tapas bar in Nottingham, bringing a different experience for those who love tapas and Iberico.
“While Bar Iberico will still incorporate the great quality food and dining experience that Iberico has become renowned for, the bar will have a much more laid-back atmosphere to it.
“Customers will be able to choose from a tasty tapas selection including flatbreads, tortilla and charcuterie and the bar will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks will include special Spanish beers and sherries.”
Bar Iberico will be located in the former Nash Interiors building in the centre of bustling Hockley, which the former restaurant Pico previously occupied.
Dan added: “Hockley is an up-and-coming area that has seen a number of bars, restaurants and retail shops open in the past few years. It will be great to be a part of this thriving culture. Bar Iberico will largely represent the relaxed style of the Hockley while appealing to young professionals who regularly visit the area.
“I can’t wait for the place to open at the end of the month and I look forward to enjoying our new venture with customers while we make another mark in Nottingham.”
Iberico World Tapas was recently awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2016 Michelin Guide and is currently the only Nottingham restaurant to have received the prestigious accolade. Its sister restaurant in Derby also received the title in 2014 nine months after opening.
