If you can take the heat – then get in the kitchen because it’s nearly time for this years annual Chilli Fest, and this year I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be representing NottinghamLIVE as a guest judge for the great Chilli Cook-Off.
After the success of last years event the Chilli Festival is bringing the exciting world of chillies back to the East Midlands with a two-day extravaganza on 11th and 12th July at Orchard Farm in Rolleston. I’ll be there on the Sunday to help judge which dish wins.
Set within 13 acres on the Nottingham countryside, the site is easily accessible from the A617 or A612. This year the festival promises over 70 stands with selections of spicy and non-spicy street foods, real ales and craft beers, cocktails and mocktails and plants as well as demonstrations, cookery, entertainment and competitions for children and adults.
Stands over the weekend will include The Real Thai Pie Company, Flavourmagic, Barefoot Biltong, Chilli Junkies, Twisted Chilli, Roly’s Fudge, the Twisted Chilli, Caribbean Fusion, Chillibobs, Chipstix, Brooks Delicatessen, Fallen Angel Brewery, Blue Monkey Brewery, Cathedral Heights Brewery, MarRon Liquers, Mallard Brewery, the Happy Chili company, Bite me spices, the Mini Jar Company, Benningtons Original Sauces and many many more.
There will also be camping and caravan options just 200 yards away so you can enjoy the festival and visit the surrounding area while you’re at it..
