“IT’S CHRIST-MAAAS!” Well, not quite, but the announcement that The Great Christmas Show, part of The Great Food and Drink Festivals, will be at Wollaton Hall this November (28th & 29th) and December (5th & 6th) is definitely something to shout about.
After its success at Nottingham Castle and Newstead Abbey the show, which will be sponsored by Nottingham City Transport, will see 50 schools perform over the two weekends in a Christmas carol competition extravaganza in a bid to raise money for two chosen charities. There will also be prizes on offer for the winning choir.
A host of food and drink stands will be around the grounds with additional masterclasses in gift wrapping plus handmade gifts and celebrity bakers showing you how to bake the perfect seasonal cakes. Santa Claus himself is even finding time in the run up to the big day to be at both events, so you can pay him a visit to let him know what you want to find in your stocking this Christmas.
To experience this fabulous festive event at one of Nottingham’s most prestigious venues, all you have to do is book your tickets. £5 per adult, £2 per child, with under 10’s gaining free entry.
