STUART BROAD INSPIRED TAPAS TASTING NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS AT THE TAP & RUN, UPPER BROUGHTON
Following a sold out debut and rave reviews, the Tap and & Run, Upper Broughton have announced a new date for their tapas taster night on Thursday September 26th.
During the evening, current and potential new dishes were served in a seven course tapas style along with gin cocktails on arrival.
The most well received dishes on the night will now make their way on to the main menu.
“I love the tapas style of eating and we are really keen to get input from our regular customers on the menu as it evolves” said Stuart, who was busy helping England beat Ireland at Lords so could not attend.
“Fingers crossed I’ll be able to make the next one!” he added.
One dish which won enough praise to be elevated to the main menu was “Mussels, sage, beer, chorizo and cream”.
Diners at the Tap & Run are able to order dishes like the above from the main menu but also from the “pub classics” section where the rustic and popular as ever Fish and Chips, Burger and Pie of the day still feature.
“We are very keen to have a fresh and exciting menu but also one that offers all the classics that one would expect in a pub” said Jack Whitehead, general manager.
“The feedback I received on the Mussels dish was great, so you can expect to see it on the main menu very soon!” added Paul Thacker, head chef.
The Tap and Run serves food 12-9pm Monday to Saturday including a hugely popular pie night on Wednesdays (£8.95) and a hearty roast 12-5pm on Sundays.
