With its range of food for the Christmas table and gifts for the discerning gourmet, The Welbeck Farm Shop is taking orders in store or by phone for free range turkeys, sourced locally from the Blagg family farm, the farm shop’s supplier of traditional Christmas Turkeys since 2006. The shop’s expert butchers are happy to advise on best weights and joints, and do suggest placing orders as soon as possible.
Turkeys on offer range from the smallest at 8-10lb suitable for six to the show-stopping 20 pounder serving 18. Priced at £4.77 per lb.
A popular choice each festive season is the Great Taste award winning Welbeck Christmas Pudding, a traditional and lightly spiced pudding packed with brandy soaked fruit and Portland Black Ale. Created by the Welbeck Bakehouse and featuring Welbeck Abbey Ale, it’s available in two sizes priced at £7.50 and £13. Other seasonal favourites from the Welbeck Bakehouse include mince pies and speciality bread.
The farm shop’s resident cheese and dairy expert works with Neal’s Yard Dairy to select exciting and diverse cheeses, and has picked some highlights out as Stichelton, Innes Bricks, Lincolnshire Poacher and Brie de Meaux. Cheese boards can be made up to order with lots of friendly expert advice on hand.
The Farm Shop is also offering a range of hampers that can be filled with a delicious hand-picked selection of produce including the award-winning selection from the Welbeck estate, home to Stichelton cheese, Welbeck Bakehouse artisan breads, Welbeck Abbey Brewery real ales, Welbeck dairy raw milk, and Ottar Chocolate, creator of exquisite chocolates and patisserie.
Over the other side of The Courtyard sits The Harley Gallery, Winner of Best Shopping Hudson’s Heritage Awards 2016. Described by the judges as ‘a lively creative hub for the Midlands and an absorbing shopping destination’, the shop features many of The Harley Studios resident artists under the ‘Made at Welbeck’ banner.
