The award-winning Welbeck Farm Shop, near Worksop, will open its doors to an Easter Farmer’s Market complete with a variety of local produce and Easter activities for children.
Taking place in the large courtyard in front of Welbeck Farm Shop on Easter weekend, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March from 10am to 5pm, there will be 18 local produce stalls to choose from including Welbeck Abbey Brewery, Stichelton Dairy, Boutique Aromatique, Welbeck Bakehouse and the School of Artisan Food, plus many more.
For the under 12’s there will be a free to enter Easter themed competition with chocolate prizes, as well as a Giant Easter Egg prize for correctly guessing the name of our Easter Bunny – with all proceeds from this competition going to a local charity.
With free entry and free parking, the Easter Farmer’s Market is an ideal day out for everyone.
The award-winning Welbeck Farm Shop is found at the heart of a vibrant artisan food community. Two thirds of the shop’s impressive product range is sourced from or prepared at the historic Welbeck Estate, described by the Great Food Club as ‘the capital of Britain’s artisan food and drink movement. The Shop will also be open on both days. A focus on low food miles, drawing on a rich artisan food tradition and subjecting every product line to rigorous taste testing has earned a reputation as one of the country’s top farm shops.
Oliver Stubbins, Welbeck Farm Shop Manager, said: “The Easter Farmer’s Market is an opportunity to support local producers and find out more about their produce and why it is different to what is mass produced and sold in the supermarkets.
“Our annual Christmas market is always a highlight of the year, so we’re hoping for our Easter Farmer’s Market to be just as popular with visitors.”
Aside from Welbeck’s Easter Farmer’s Market, The Harley Gallery’s current exhibitions will also be open to the public free of charge. Discover an array of fine and decorative art which has been assembled over the centuries with The Portland Collection and a double bill of exhibitions from two of Britain’s most influential artists as part of The Grand Tour.
