NOTTINGHAM HOT PROPERTY PUTS ITS WEIGHT BEHIND BOXING CHARITY
NOTTINGHAM’S hotly-anticipated charity event is due to pack a punch this November at
PRYZM (21 November), offering a night brimming with entertainment and support for a local
children’s charity.
This year marks the 15 th anniversary of Nottingham Hot Property (NHP), an event that brings
together business experts from across the city annually, demonstrating their musical abilities
from singing to guitars solos, while also showing their on-going support for young people
across Nottingham by raising funds for a chosen charity.
This year the belt of support is awarded to both Switch Up and its sister-organisation The
Nottingham School of Boxing which use a combination of physical activity mentorship,
counselling and education to help young people with complex issues.
Marcellus Baz BEM, founder and CEO of Switch-Up and Nottingham School of Boxing, said:
“Our two organisations provide critical support to Nottingham’s young people through
diversional activities and early intervention techniques which engage them in sport and
personal development.
“The support of Nottingham Hot Property will give us further opportunity to link those from
Nottingham’s most deprived communities with opportunities they didn’t know existed,
providing positive role models, peer mentors, councillors, and support through difficult or
challenging life situations. A huge thank you to them and everyone who’ll be attending and
donating on the night.”
Hit-by-hit, professionals ranging from CEOs to interns will get footloose at the event as they
take part in this year’s nostalgic theme ‘Throwback Thursday’. An audience of over 700
people can expect performances ranging from the girl power of the Spice Girls to the disco
era of Chic LeFreak.
Siobhan Goodacre, one of the NHP organisers, said: “Each and every year we look for a
way to make Hot Property bigger and better, keeping both our participants and attendees on
their toes! We’re really excited to host our very own ‘Throwback Thursday’ event, giving
professionals a chance to have fun and most importantly raise funds for Nottingham School
of Boxing. It’s a fantastic organisation which is making a real difference in Nottingham and
we are proud to be supporting.”
There is currently one sponsorship spot left, however the confirmed sponsors of Hot
Property 2019 include: B&M Interiors, Couch Perry Wilkes, Faithful + Gould, Fraser Brown,
Pulse Associates, Samclo Construction, Savills and Shakespeare Martineau. Joining these
are the event’s media partner The Business Desk, PR agency Cartwright Communications,
design agency Blimey Creative and design and print agency Ginger Root.
