The Nottingham Carnival Weekend took place at the Victoria Embankment on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August. Two days of activities and entertainment for all the community, drawing crowds of up to 30,000. The event had live performances from the main stage and other music stages, carnival parade, workshops, stalls and a large funfair for a full day of family fun
On Sunday a community-led carnival parade with hundreds of colourful costumes danced it’s way along the riverside and through The Meadows. TANYA RAYBOULD went along to capture the highlights.
