Jack & The Beanstalk – Nottingham Playhouse

jack&beanstalkTomorrow night sees the launch of the latest panto at Nottingham Playhouse and this year it holds more significance than usual as it will mark the last time that legendary panto Dame Kenneth Alan Taylor will don the make up for the final time as Dame Daisy.

It marks full circle for Taylor, who is also director of the production as Jack and the Beanstalk was his first pantomime at the venue, some thirty years back.

Other Playhouse favourites appearing in this year’s production include John Elkington as Slurp, Daniel Hoffman-Gill as Giant Blunderbone and Rebecca Little, who takes on the lead role of Jack.

The story of course is a classic as Jack claims the magical beanstalk and battles the bone eating, fi-fi-fo-fum chanting giant in a tale of mystery and magic that promises to be fun for all the family.

Make sure you get down to the Playhouse this Panto season for a real treat and to say goodbye to a true pantomime legend.

Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Friday 29 November until Saturday 18 January 2014, tickets are available from £20-£27.50 (Family ticket £65) – for more information and to order tickets click here
