To Hull and Back: 20 March 2021
Guitars are being tuned, amps dusted off and soundchecks taking place ahead of this weekend’s mammoth livestream festival bringing together the indie music scenes of Nottingham and Hull.
The Arts Council has funded To Hull and Back to help the hard hit grassroots music scene connect with new audiences across the two cities and support the eco-system behind the artists.
Kicking off at 4pm, the sets are being filmed at Nottingham’s newest kid on the block, the music and arts hub Fisher Gate Point and Hull’s iconic independent music venue and long-standing champion of new artists, The Adelphi.
With live gigs being programmed for later in the year, this will be the perfect opportunity for fans to reconnect and discover new artists that will be playing in their home cities very soon. To Hull And Back will be live-streamed on I’m Not From London’s Youtube Channel and The Adelphi’s Facebook live stream.
Presenters will introduce the acts through the day, bringing them to the attention of new audiences, interspersed with interviews and guides to each city’s music scene. The audience will also be able to vote for the act they would most like to see on the festival bill in their own hometown – I’m Not From London’s The Waterfront Festival and The New Adelphi’s Fast & Bulbous Festival.
Go to the channels now to set a reminder for 4pm Saturday, tune in and enjoy!
