Chapel Farm, Wellow, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 0EJ
Heavy-hitting alt-rock trio from Watford, SINKA, are heading to Nottinghamshire’s Venture Festival this Sunday. The fast-rising band have been cooking up a storm in the rock world following the release of their blistering single ‘Fussy’.
“A rock solid live experience, their blistering riffs and potent vocals recall everyone from Royal Blood to Queens Of The Stone Age, with material to match……[Fussy is a] biting piece of punk-edged alt-rock” – Clash
‘Fussy’’s explosive riffs, soaring vocals and regular tempo-shifts was described by Gig Radar as “one of the most exciting tracks we’ve heard in a while – it’s just ridiculously good”. Daniel P Carter played the song on his Radio 1 show saying it reminds him of Queen Of The Stone’s ‘Era Vulgaris’. On Amazing Radio Elise Cobain regularly plays ‘Fussy’, describing it as a “really addictive song… something special”, while Jim Gellatly made the song his ‘Track of the Day’. The song was also given a spin by Wyatt Wendels on his Planet Rock show while BBC introducing’s Danny Fullbrook raved “This is so, so, so good… Royal Blood fans check these guys out”.

August 10th & 11th 2019
Day and weekend tickets available from https://www.fatsoma.com/ venture-festival
Venture Festival returns for its second year with an exciting line up artists and action.
“A small music festival based in Nottingham, Venture Festival hosts a variety of up and coming artists from indie-rock bands to singer songwriters and our infamous after parties with our excellent DJ line up. The weekend will take place on Saturday the 10th of August all the way through to the Monday morning.
What’s different to last year? The people have spoken and we’ve listened! In 2019 you can expect to see a cheaper bar, an official after party marquee and further coverage from that pesky rain! We will also be providing a wider variety of ticket types for those who can only make one of the days and have lowered our ticket price whilst also making the booking fee a set £2. We will be letting under 15s and doggos in for free, to which the latter will receive a customised Venture Fest collar!
What will be returning? Well.. You hopefully! We will also be bringing back our charity Flunky ball competition due to the success of 2018’s. We’ll be on the same site with the same stage and a wider variety of stalls. Of course our after party will be coming back after the success of our opening year!”
