Spread good tidings this December by joining thousands of Santas at this year’s When You Wish Upon a Star (WYWUAS) festive Santa Fun Run in Nottingham.
The annual event will raise funds to support the charity’s magical work to grant the wishes of children living with life threatening illnesses, creating special memories for the children and their families.
This year, the fun-filled event will be taking place at the Forest Recreation Ground on Sunday 13 December at 10.30am.
Jolly participants can choose to take part in a 2.5km or 5km route during the event, which can be walked, jogged or ran in a special WYWUAS Santa suit or elf hat provided by the charity.
Regional fundraising manager, Nicola Brien, said: “Taking part in the Nottingham Santa Fun Run will help the team at WYWUAS to continue granting wishes for seriously ill children, which is at the heart of everything we do. Christmas is a great time to support us, as we believe Christmas is an important time to create magical moments for our brave Wish children.
“Whether you want to challenge yourself to complete a 2.5km circuit or push yourself further and complete one of our 5km routes, this event is a great way to enjoy time with friends and family, while raising money for WYWUWAS. Remember, you don’t have to be a runner to take part; it’s all just a bit of fun!”
The entry fee to take part will help support the charity and costs £5 for children under 12 and £10 for adults (children under two can take part for free). This price will also cover the cost of special Santa suits and elf hats, alongside a medal awarded to speedy Santas on completion.
