Thanks to the fans of Nottingham Panthers, the team has chosen Framework as its Charity of the Year for the 2024/25 season.
The Nottingham-based charity which supports homeless and vulnerable people across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and further afield was chosen from among more than 150 charities suggested by fans.
It is the first time that a local charity has been chosen as Charity of the Year.
Framework will have a regular presence at home matches throughout the season and will work with the club on fundraising activities.
Responding to this exciting support, Claire Eden, Framework’s Head of Fundraising and Communications, said:
“We are thrilled that Framework has been chosen as Charity of the Year by the fans of Nottingham Panthers.
“It shows how important the work of Framework is to the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and how much they care about their fellow citizens who are homeless and living on the streets.
“It is a particular honour to have been chosen from among more than 150 excellent charitable organisations and for us to be the first local charity to be chosen as Charity of the Year.
“We look forward to working with the club and its fans to make the very most of this special opportunity.
“Thank you and see you at the stadium. Go Panthers!”
Nottingham Panthers’ Fan Liaison Officer, Lisa Rawding, said:
“The response was remarkable again this year and we’d like to thank everyone who put forward a nomination.
“There were so many good ideas and as you can imagine it was so difficult to narrow it down to one Charity of the Year and eight for the Charity of the Month.
“It was another record-breaking amount with over 150 suggestions which doubled the amount put forward last year.
“We’d like to welcome all the selected charities and we are excited to work with them all throughout the season.”
