MAGICAL characters will be transforming intu Broadmarsh this week (19 November) as part of intu’s special family fun day, celebrating all things Christmas.
Customers of all ages will be encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit with craft activities for little ones taking place, the arrival of the magical Santa’s Grotto in association with PLAYMOBIL and whimsical parades led by drumming elves making their way through the centre every hour, from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
Families will be treated to a Saturday afternoon of festive fun, filled with free activities which are certain to be a magical start to Nottingham’s yuletide season.
Nigel Wheatley, general manager at both centres said: “Our family fun day aims to delight all of our shoppers, regardless of their age. We hope our magical characters such as elves, a toy soldier and a snow fairy bring a little magic to the centre, helping to kick off the festive season and make this weekend special.
“Our craft workshops will be a great way for little shoppers to get involved in the celebrations, as our professional team of crafters will be showing them how to make their very own instruments which can be played at each parade, helping the band of elves to make merry music.”
The festive parades will be taking place every hour from 11.30am to 3.30pm, and will feature a selection of characters including, a five-piece band of elves, giant Christmas bells, a roller skating snow fairy and Christmas pudding, alongside a magical toy soldier.
Creative music instrument making classes will be taking place for children, with children being able to make their very own jingle bell instruments which can be used to join in with the hourly processions. The workshops will be taking place on Listergate Square from 11am to 4pm.
Santa’s Grotto in association with PLAYMOBIL, will also be open from 11am to 5pm throughout the celebrations. Entry is £4.50 for each child and bookings can be made online at: intu.co.uk/broadmarsh
