Office professionals from across Nottingham came together this month (23 June), to celebrate the launch of Nottingham Hot Property 2016 and its amazing fundraising efforts for local children’s charities.
The launch – which took place at Das Kino – looked to thank professionals who had supported in previous years and announce When You Wish Upon a Star (WYWUAS) as its charity partner for 2016.
Nottingham-based charity WYWUAS grants the wishes of children living with life threatening illnesses. Each December the charity transports many excited children to Lapland making it a magical Christmas to remember, where they will meet Santa and be transported away from hospitals and appointments.
One of Hot Property’s organisers, Siobhan Goodacre, said: “We are so excited for this year’s event which is why we have hosted this launch! It’s been a great opportunity for us to thank everyone who makes Hot Property the event of the year and drum up excitement about this year’s movie-extravaganza event.
“We are delighted to be working with WYWUAS this year and we hope our sponsorships can help the charity take local children to Lapland this Christmas! We are still on the still on the search for fabulous sponsors too, who will help us grant the wishes of seriously ill children.”
Now in its twelfth year, Hot Property is an annual fundraising event held in November attended by leading professionals in Nottingham. It aims to showcase the best talent in the city, while raising thousands of pounds to support vulnerable children.
Nicola Brien, regional fundraising manager for WYWUAS said: “Granting wishes can help us to transform the lives of the children and families we work with – we can help families to create magical memories which are invaluable.
“We are thrilled to be working with Hot Property this year and we are certain it will be a wonderful event. It is thanks to fundraising we are able to keep this magic alive and we appreciate all of the support we receive from our supporters.”
Hot Property’s main sponsorship package will cost £1000 and will comprise of 20 VIP tickets, complimentary drinks vouchers, a place on the ‘Hot Property Hollywood Walk of Fame’ and a unique spoof movie poster.
It costs WYWUAS £90,000 to charter each of its private flights to Lapland every year, and the charity urgently needs local communities to help raise funds to support the magical trip. For each child and their guardian it costs £900 to send them to Lapland, the sponsor packages aim to help support this and will cover this cost.
Standard tickets for this year’s event will cost £25. For more information about Hot Property, how you can become a sponsor or how to get on the gig list, contact Max Kwan at mkwan@rhdevelopments.com.
