It’s the final “normal” NottinghamLIVE Radio Show of the year, with a Christmas Special and two part Best of the Sessions to follow, however that doesn’t mean we plan on taking it easy, in fact we’re planning to bring you another great show.
Joining us in the studio for a live session is the truly wonderful LAUREN LOVEJOY, a sensational retro/jazz soul singer with an incredibly powerful voice. Lauren performed at venues across Nottingham including appearances at the Pride Festival and Arnold Carnival Lauren and appeared on BBC’s The Beat.
We’re extremely excited to welcome Lauren in to the studio for a live performance this week and am sure you will all be blown away when you hear her incredible voice.

Also joining us this week will be ROBERT HOWIE-SMITH. For those that don’t know Rob is the man behind the the Howie-Smith Project which regenerates old buildings in Nottingham – and further afield, making them available for use by creative groups. Current HSP premises in Nottingham include The Corner – home of I’m Not From London and others and the current Five Leaves Bookstore off Long Row.
Rob will be joining us to talk about his latest project in which he has teamed up with The St Ann’s project to re-open The Beacon a former pub on Bluebell Hill in St Ann’s. The plan is to reopen it as a community venue where people can share, learn, teach, swap skills, fix, make and create. A place to meet, to eat, to grow, to be part of the community. A place where collaborative art is part of the everyday experience. A safe space where people of all ages, young and old, can come together.
