The sun is shining, for now at least, what better weather to enjoy three hours of the finest in Nottingham music, so grab a cold one and chill out as Darren and Steve return with a Nottingham-tastic Wednesday night, and what a line up we have for you this week.
We’re excited to have a live session from the one and only
BREADCHASERS
Formed in 2009, Breadchasers are no strangers to off-beat energy, sweaty d.i.y. gigs and wrecking up dutty dancehalls and their inhabitant Skankers, Rudeboys, Punks and Skinheads. Known for playing with a furious energy, they’ve become a force to be reckoned with!
Forged in the fires of the renowned Maze club in Nottingham, these 5 individuals are set on a course to lift the knees of anyone and everyone who shares a love for Reggae, Ska, Two-Tone, Dub, Swing, Ragga, Skinhead Culture, D.I.Y. music and everything in-between.
A hectic and reckless 2012 includied smashing up a stage at Boomtown Fair, travelling the country tetris-ed 6 strong and with gear into one car to play anywhere and everywhere they could and supporting the likes of The Slackers, Chris Murray, The Selecter, Jaya The Cat, The Talks, Jimmy Cliff, Capdown, Babar Luck, Counting Coins, The Skints and many more!
The band has been writing material non stop since bedding in the current lineup in early 2012 and have mixed in new styles of more traditional reggae, swing, 2-step and much more into their newer songs.
Breadchasers are now on the verge of releasing their 2nd long awaited and very highly anticipated album, becoming part of some various exciting collaborations and will be continuing their journey at freight train pace with the mission of uplifting everyone they come across.
If you see them shout them a “NICE ONE!”, if you’re down with it, it seems to have become the last echoing sound washing over many an exhausted happy venue before they speed off into the night towards another dance.
Breadchasers are certainly one to watch out for! Keep your ears peeled…….it’s going to get messy!
This Wednesday they’ll be treating us to a fantastic live session featuring the WORLD EXCLUSIVE performance of one of their tracks from their brand new EP, so make sure to tune in.
They’ll also be chatting to us about the brand new EP and what they’re up to at the moment.
As if that wasn’t enough we’re pleased to welcome into the studio one of Nottingham’s music experts
