Darren and Steve are back in the studio this Wednesday for another three hours of the best in Nottingham music and a look ahead at the upcoming weeks live music.
Joining the two of them in studio this week will be
Crimson General (live session)
Crimson General is the first venture as a two-piece of the veterans former John Peel favourites Cherry Forever, David Parker (guitar/vocals) and Gary Parker (drums/percussion).
The pair have spent over twenty years performing across Nottinghamshire, most notably as a part of the aforementioned Cherry Forever during the 90’s. After receiving support from the legendary John Peel – and a famed Peel session the band released two well received EP’s on the Norwich label ‘Wilde Club Music’. The band performed around the country until the turn of the millennium.
More recently the two spent eighteen months as a part of BlindMouse, performing regularly across Nottingham/Mansfield and Sheffield. The band released a four track EP and were regularly played on NottinghamLIVE Radio Show predecessor Notts Live.
Now as Crimson General the pair are currently in the studio rehearsing, reinventing and recording ahead of a summer 2013 assault. There debut EP is available for free below;
