Since launching the NottinghamLIVE Radio Show at the end of January 2013 we are proud to have welcomed a host of top Nottingham performers into the studio to perform live on the show.
Sadly first guests Albion – then known as The Union – were unable to perform live on the show due to technical difficulties, and so it was a week later, on our second show, when guest host Ben Welch joined Darren in the hot seat, that we welcomed our first live performance. Still what a way to kick off as we were joined by the truly fabulous SPACESHIPS ARE COOL.
Steve was back in the studio – and now a permanent member of the presenting team – a week later when we were mesmerised by the delightful LORNA who treated us to a stunning session.
MARC REEVES was the guest on 20 February, managing to take some time off from his busy gigging and open mic schedule to join us for a live performance and chat.
Marc was the last guest booked by previous host Andy Haynes before his dramatic departure from the show and so it was on February 27 HAYLEY QUEEN became the first performer to appear on the show booked by the new hosting team – and she did not disappoint during a great session.
Over the coming day’s were going to be upload the sessions in monthly blocks so that you can listen back to the great performers we’ve had on the show over the past few months – plus you’ll be able to let us know who your favourites were when we launch Best of the Sessions – with the winners being played as part of our Christmas Day show on – well Christmas Day!
