A Key Worker originally from Bedford has reserved a brand new home in Sutton-in-Ashfield thanks to a bespoke discount from housebuilder Harron Homes, which has been designed to support people on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus.
Cindy Acheampong, 25, is a Biomedical Scientist at Bedford Hospital, working in a lab testing samples from ICU and critical care patients for Coronavirus.
Cindy on Facetime to her Harron Homes Sales Executive, Julie
She and her fiancé Samuel Donkor, a 27-year-old accountant, have secured their very first home, a four bedroom detached home on the Brand Lane development called Brierley Heath; she plans to relocate to Nottinghamshire later in the year.
She says: “My fiancé and I were looking to buy our first home to move into after we get married, somewhere we can start a family.”
“We started looking before the lockdown, so we were able to view a show home. We loved it – we thought it was really stylish and nothing else we’d seen was as nicely designed. It was where our heart was. We expressed our interest then and there. Our sales executive, Julie, has been totally amazing. She really tried to help us understand what we could get for our budget. The service was brilliant, and really informative – I couldn’t stop talking about her when we got in the car!”
And Cindy says that her Key Worker discount was another reason she decided to reserve her Harron Home. “Getting a discount on a house would never have occurred to me before but the NHS incentive was a huge advantage. We’ve used it to upgrade our flooring, lighting and amenities – little things that will make our house a home. We’re so happy and excited.”
“The service from Harron Homes has been fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for more. The team are brilliant and are always on hand to answer our questions.”
“We can’t wait to get into our beautiful home and start our life together.”
Natalie Griffiths, Sales Director for Harron Homes Midlands, said: “We hope Cindy and Samuel love their new home. We’re delighted to be able to offer a discount on our homes to Essential Workers at this difficult time. The last few months must have been challenging to people working on the front line and will no doubt continue to be so, and we want to help improve their 2020 in any way we can!”
Harron Homes has recently extended its Key Worker offer, and will be offering its exclusive discount to all Essential Workers looking to purchase a home in 2020. Eligible customers may be entitled to £5,000 off the house price, as well as £1,000 worth of vouchers to use on home upgrades in Harron’s Excellence Range.
