Have you kids been struggling lately?
With Coronavirus, back to school and just the pressures of growing up in this digital age childhood can be tough these days. Even for younger kids. ChildLine reported a 40% increase in calls from under 11’s during lockdown and they really are looking for support.
West Bridgford author Becky Goddard-Hill has just published a new activity book for 6-12 year olds called Create Your Own Calm which aims to help kids to help themselves.
Create Your own calm contains 50 calming activities for kids to empower them to manage their emotional wellbeing in fun and creative ways. It gives children the tools to cope with anxiety, stress, worries, fears and all those big and sometimes overwhelming emotions.
The activities include pizza gardening, yoga, baking bread, meditation, deep breathing, anchoring, cloud watching progressive muscle relaxation and much more! It is packed with fun and creativity whilst teaching kids some really important skills around their emotional health and wellbeing
Becky is a former social worker and psychotherapist as well as being a certified life coach. She believes that if children learn how to express their feelings and manage their emotions when they are young they will find navigating their teen years a lot easier ( and so will their parents!)
Create your own Calm was published on September 17th by Harper Collins and is available on Amazon and in all good book shops.
