Nottinghamshire Pride – The Arboretum – 27 July 2013

In what is turning out to be a hectic weekend for the Nottingham music and entertainment community this Saturday also see’s the annual Nottinghamshire Pride event take place.

The city’s annual celebration of the LGBT community will this year take place in the beautiful surrounds of Nottingham Arboretum, having moved from the Forest, and what is more this year the event is completely free entry – though donation’s will be welcome.

As anybody who followed the recent debate over gay marriage will know there are still many people who hold antiquated and, quite frankly, disgusting attitudes towards the LGBT community, however this weekend offers a chance for Nottingham to show it’s support for the community – while enjoying a fantastic day.

The event is sponsored by e-on and will feature live music and a community market, as well as a youth zone courtesy of the Co-operative.
