Let me start off by saying that I will be buying this show on DVD when it comes out as Mr Djalili in true fashion kept providing belly laugh after belly laugh.
As you can tell from the title of his tour, there were many jokes discussing the differences between the Iranian and british cultures which were nothing short of hilarious. Fans of Omid would notice that there was a bit of recycling with some of his gags but he certainly did mix it all up with belly dancing and singing to great effect.
The second part of the show after the interval included a question and answer session to which the audience could ask Omid what ever was on their mind. Apart from some mundane queries the Nottingham crowd certainly did make me and even Omid proud in the comedy stakes! It nearly turned into a competition as to who was funnier and in the end the audience were on top form as Omid and it was a win for both Nottingham and Omid – absolutely cracking night!
Hilarious comedy which touched all the serious aspects of life and Omid made little work of them by sending the audience into stitches and laughing fits! You’ll want to punch yourself in the nose if you miss a chance to see him!
