Preview: Dot to Dot Festival – Rescue Rooms stages – 26 May 2013

Yesterday, in the first part of our Dot to Dot Festival preview, we took a look at the Rock City stages, today we move just around the corner to fellow DHP venue the Rescue Rooms where there are THREE stages of live music, all featuring some fantastic Nottingham talent.

Rescue Rooms stage

The Rescue Rooms stage becomes the Fred Perry Subculture Stage for the day with a cracking line up including three Nottingham representatives.

Making the first of two appearances on the day are the brilliant KAGOULE, this atmospheric post-punk grunge trio are one of the Nottingham bands to watch with their stunning double A-side debut single Monarchy/Mudhole delighting fans and critics alike.

Following on from Kagoule is one of THE Nottingham artists of the hour, despite only making her first appearance on the scene less than a year ago INDIANA has already been snapped up to a major label and has been getting extensive national radio play while her newest video Smoking Gun has already notched up over 100,000 Youtube views despite being online only a week.

As if that wasn’t enough Nottingham superstars DOG IS DEAD will be on hand to spin disks with a DJ set into the early hours of the morning.

Red Rooms

As if you’ll need waking up but just to make sure BABY GODZILLA will be on hand to kick things off on the Red Rooms stage at 12.30pm, expect noise, chaos and a lunch time mosh pit from the boys as they ensure Dot to Dot starts with a bang.

Rescue Rooms Bar (Acoustic Rooms)

The Rescue Rooms regular Acoustic team take over the bar for a huge selection of brilliant acoustic for those moments when you want to kick back, chill and just enjoy some fantastic music.

It all kicks off at 12.30 with world pop six piece THE GORGEOUS CHANS, at 3pm you can catch the captivating acoustic folk sounds of LEAH SINEAD followed by some great acoustic pop from ADAM PETER SMITH.

FRANKIE RUDOLF takes to the stage at 4.30 where he will thrill you with his catchy tracks that belie his years while RYAN THOMAS will be on hand with some smoky blues sounds.

Following on will be acoustic duo HEAVYHEADS and the wonderful ESTHER VAN LEUVEN.

There will be pure acoustic bliss from GALLERY 47 at 7pm and stripped back soul and RnB from HARLEIGHBLU at 8,45pm, then to round things off at 9.45 will be orange spacesuit wearing sci-fi sunshine pop act – and past NottinghamLIVE Radio Show guests – SPACESHIPS ARE COOL.

There will also be a set from the Acoustic Rooms competition winners, set to be announced on Wednesday 22 – at 1pm.

There will also be a host of music, courtesy of Fred Perry Subculture on the Rescue Rooms patio.
