This Sunday sees the return of the Dot to Dot Festival, a multi-venue festival taking place across Nottingham City Centre, and what is more it features a staggering number of Nottingham acts this year – over FORTY in fact. As such we felt we could never do the festival justice with a single review and as such we’ve decided to break things down a bit, so here is part one which takes a look at the Nottingham performers playing on the famed Rock City.
Rock City Main Stage
The biggest stage of the festival and there are three great Nottingham acts performing along with the likes of Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Tom Odell and Swim Deep.
Kicking things off are BITTER STRINGS, one of this years DHP Ones to Watch performers – at the official Jake Bugg after show party, these guys will kick things off with some great rock and roll at 2pm so get on down early.
Following Bitter Strings is fast rising soul star ADY SULEIMAN who has made a huge impact on the Nottingham scene over the last few months which has already seen him spreading his sound across the UK – set to be one of the next big Nottingham breakthrough stars Ady will be on stage at 3pm.
Rounding up the Nottingham representation on the main stage is the truly sensational SAINT RAYMOND – 4pm, this young acoustic star has been on everybody’s hot list this year thanks to his infectiously catchy indie-pop tracks and with his EP set to follow in the days after the festival this is set to be a huge year for this young star – catch his live session on the NottinghamLIVE Radio Show Dot to Dot Special THIS Wednesday.
