So, we’re now just TWO days away from the biggest multi-venue music festival in Nottingham history, over 40 venues, around 400 performers and it’s all for charity, we’ve already taken a look at about half the venues taking part in the first two parts of our preview which you can check out here – part 1 – part 2 – now we move on to the third part before we wrap things up with part 4 tomorrow.
So here we go with part three of the Hockley Hustle Full MEGA Preview.
Jam Cafe – hosted by: Farmyard Records
Farmyard Records are not only one of the city’s top independent labels but also damn fine promoters renowned for putting on some of the city’s best gigs, this Sunday they’ll be taking over one of their regular haunts, the always rocking Jam Cafe to present a cracking line up.
From the jazz sounds of JIALLO to the crashing rock of BAND OF JACKALS and the brilliant pop sounds of CAPTAIN DANGEROUS there is no doubt that the Jam Cafe will be one hell of a party.

Jim’s Smokehouse – hosted by: Shut the Folk Up
Despite only opening last week Nottingham’s first Southern American Smokehouse have been quick to get involved in the mega festival that is the Hockley Hustle hosting a stage that will be managed by Shut the Folk Up.
Enjoy ribs, BBQ, pulled pork, burgers and more while enjoy some great live music from the likes of THE ESTABLISHMENT and RUEPOINT.

Kean’s Head – hosted by: Castle Rock
The Kean’s Head was opened by Nottingham brewers Castle Rock – who, incidentally have brewed a special ale, The Hockley Hustle Brew, exclusively for the festival – in 2004 and was the city’s first non-smoking bar. A intimate, cosy little pub there will be a chilled back atmosphere here.
Among the acts to soothe you as you enjoy a nice pint will be rising star BUD and the wonderful CHLOE CHARLEMAGNE.

Lace Market Square – hosted by: Double Impact
Situated in the centre of the Lace Market area the Lace Market Square has had something of a revival of late with markets and music events becoming common on it’s open space. This Sunday the square will act as the wristband exchange for the festival while local substance misuse recovery charity Double Impact will be presenting a series of musical performances in the Square.
Among the performers appearing on the outdoor stage will be GERRY TRIMBLE, NICK ASLAM and BREAKFAST CLUB.

Yep, as you’ll have already seen from our preview earlier in the week, we’re running proceedings at The Lacehouse, you can find out much more on our line up, which includes the likes of BLUE VULTURE, FIELD STUDIES and 8MM ORCHESTRA here.

One of the city’s most popular tea shops Lee Rosy’s is a much loved part of the Hockley community and will be taking part in the Hockley Hustle with a selection of acoustic performances for you to enjoy while having a refreshing brew.

Lord Roberts – hosted by: Public House Brand
Situated on Broad Street the Lord Roberts is a warm and welcoming pub with a relaxed ambiance and great selection of drinks. New multi-media brand Public House will be running things here.
Among the great acts performing will be FLAMING FIELDS, IN ISOLATION and THE LAST EMBERS.

PROPER ENGLISH GENTLEMEN, THE RUTHERFORDS and THE BREAKDOWNS are among those you’ll be able to see playing here.

Music Exchange – hosted by: The Music Exchange presents…
Not only is The Music Exchange one of the best independent record stores in the UK but it’s also a fantastic social enterprise which offers opportunities to vulnerable people via Framework to volunteer in the store thus gaining independence and rebuilding social networks.
As part of the Hockley Hustle they’ve lined up three great acts in the shape of FIELD STUDIES, DUKE01 and BUS STOP MADONNAS to play in store.
