So here we are, just ONE DAY from the awesomeness that is Macmillan Fest and so we bring you our fourth and final preview of the festival, having taken a look at all the other stages we now turn our attention to the main stage in the Rescue Rooms.
The Macmillan Fest team have landed a hell of a headline act for this year, following in the footsteps of the likes of Tesseract and Jettblack, in the form of Glasgow metal boys BLEED FROM WITHIN. Doing their thing for almost a decade these guys are the perfect band to bring this years festival to a crushing and brutal finale.

Joining Bleed From Within on the main stage will be London progressive metal act THE SAFETY FIRE, the band, who released their second album ‘Mouth of Swords’ last year, have played across the globe and will be sure to have the Rescue Rooms rocking this weekend.
Having started out, in their own words, as little more than a “bedroom jam” back in 2010, CONTINENTS have quickly made a name for themselves on the UK metal scene, their debut single, ‘Trials’, in 2011 was an online smash and helped the band be voted favourite YouTube UK Metal Act in the same year, earning them a spotlight on the online video giants homepage. Since then the band have gone from strength to strength and make an excellent addition to this years festival lineup.
Despite being around for little more than two years Nottingham’s very own ADELPHIA have certainly earned their spot among the names on the main stage, quickly establishing themselves as firm favourites on the local scene with their mature alt-rock sound, playing the likes of Rock City and festivals such as Hit the Deck the band are almost certainly on their way to big things, check them out on Saturday to find out why.

Fellow Nottingham act THE WINTER HILL SYNDICATE will also be strutting their stuff on the main stage and will no doubt have the crowd rocking with their straight up metal sounds that always go down a storm.
There’s a bit of a change in vibe mid-afternoon as Leicestershire band CABIN BOY JUMPED SHIP bring in a electronic/metalcore vibe that may well divide fans but is sure to be entertaining.
Two more Nottingham acts will kick start the day, opening the day will be metal/hardcore act FAMOUS FOR NOTHING, who have been described as “like Killswitch on crack”, while following them will be metal act WE ARE TYRANTS, formed in 2012 this four piece draw influences from all genres of metal to create their own sound.
So there you have it our Macmillan Fest previews are complete, but don’t forget, along with the music there will be a BBQ, stalls, a raffle, oh and Macmillan Fest organiser and IKE top man Kris Davis will be unveiling his recently acquired Macmillan Fest logo tattoo, something NOT to be missed.
