Rescue Rooms Holds Election Watch Party As Music Industry Campaigns to Get Out Young Voters

Rescue Rooms is staging an Election Watch Party on 4 July as the music industry campaigns to encourage young people to make their voice heard and show up to vote.

The Goldsmith Street venue is inviting everyone to join them for a night of pints and politics for what could be the biggest election night since ’97. Join for a night of discussions about hung parliaments and coalitions, and watch the future of the UK unfold. Whether it’s for the politics or just the pints, Rescue Rooms is the place to be on 4 July General Election night.

Kicking off at 9pm, there will be live election coverage on the big screen, election night bingo, political party-themed cocktails, party leaders fancy dress competition and a special guest appearance from Liz Truss’ lettuce.

Pat Somers, DHP Family, said: “It’s the first election where a lot of young people feel like they have the opportunity to be heard and effect change with their vote, and here at Rescue Rooms we want to encourage participation in politics, whoever they vote for, and make our country a better and fairer place.

“What better way to do that than supporting the music industry’s Crash The Party campaign and hosting our own election night viewing party in the bar! It might get a little bit silly, but who says politics can’t be fun?”

Rescue Rooms is supporting the music industry’s “Crash The Party” campaign to encourage young people and music fans to vote in the election, and register to vote by 18 June.
