The beanbag music club’s highlight of the year took place yesterday, the Christmas special with Sinfonia Viva. The themes were snow, Santa and surprise. As expected it was packed out with excited children and some very excited parents donning their Christmas jumpers.
Sinfonia Viva, are a lovely orchestra consisting of violins, violas, double bass, flute, clarinet, horn, bassoon, trumpet, trombone and of course percussion, led by the wonderful Alasdair Malloy.
The songs were all very festive and seasonal allowing for a good ol’ singalong. Alasdair and Beanie also made up some very creative interpretive dance moves to go with the songs, which were highly amusing!
As usual the great mix of music, participation and interaction led for a wonderful show. Beanbag Club returns on March 2nd with Opera North, get you tickets from www.trch.co.uk
