Review: Town Mouse and Country Mouse

This darling little play about two very different mice who strike up an unlikely friendship, has many lessons for kids and adults alike, but not in a patronising or preachy way at all.

Narisha Lawson and Rory Quinn, bring to life the mice in wonderfully creative and endearing ways. The basic set is perfect for the simple but thought provoking script. Aimed primarily at Children between 3-10, (although there was some enthusiastic audience participation from the grown ups as well) there are plenty of opportunities for the youngsters to get involved, encouraged by the seating arrangement of cushions right on stage amongst the action (as well as the normal chairs for the adults).

I don’t have a bad word to say about this lovely play, it is a great alternative to the pantos dominating the theatres this December, it is also a cheaper option! If you don’t get a chance to take your little one, it will also be touring some of the primary schools in and around Nottingham in January.
