Tech-theatre innovators Darkfield are coming to Nottingham with their second container show, FLIGHT, a clever, unsettling performance that takes place in complete darkness.
The follow-up to the sell-out SEANCE, FLIGHT transforms a shipping container into an exact replica of a Boeing 707 aircraft carriage, inviting audiences to come on board.
Once again the show utilises binaural sound technology to create inspired narrative exploring parallel universes and quantum mechanics, taking occupants through two worlds, two realities, and giving two possible outcomes to their journey.
Darkfield, founded by Glen Neath and David Rosenberg, is an ongoing theatrical project made up of experiences taking place in shipping containers which explore fear and anxiety. Each show functions without live actors, employing binaural sound, pitch darkness and movement to put each audience members at the centre of an evolving, consuming narrative.
FLIGHT premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018. It is showing in Nottingham as part of the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity.
