If you’re coming to the morning (11am) show of Disney on Ice on Sunday 15 May please be aware that you’re going to need plenty of time to get to the Arena as a 10k run is taking place through Nottingham City centre and will be coming close by to our venue that morning.
The run will affect customers planning on driving into the city centre or using a tram to get to the event. Please read the below information to help you plan your journey.
DRIVING & PARKING
Many car parks around our venue will either be closed, restricted or difficult to access. If you need to drive in we strongly suggest you do so around the north and east areas of the City and park in any of the car parks along Huntingdon Street, around the Victoria Centre shopping centre and Sneinton. Give yourself enough time to walk to us, we’re around a 10-15 minute walk away from these sites. Check out the map below for further info.
TRAM
If you’re travelling from south Nottingham (Clifton, Toton etc) the tram will terminate at the Nottingham train station – a 10 minute walk away from the venue.
If you’re travelling from north Nottingham (Hucknall, Phoenix Park etc) the tram will terminate at the Royal Theatre – a 10 minute walk away from the venue.
LOOK OUT FOR THE STEWARDS…THEY’RE THERE TO HELP!
The Arena will have stewards at various sites around the city to help and direct you to the venue.
Stewards will be positioned at the train station tram stop and the Royal Centre tram stop where they’ll have walking maps should you need them. Stewards will also be positioned in The Lace Market to help you out.
Please avoid the south and west areas of the city centre where possible as parking will be restricted in these areas. The north and east areas will be accessible along with any of the car parks on Huntingdon Street, around the Victoria Centre shopping centre and Sneinton.
Lower Parliament Street (situated along the back of our venue) will also be open so if you’re being dropped off this is the perfect spot!
The race is expected to finish around midday so there shouldn’t be any issues with leaving the venue once the show has finished. More information on the race & the route can be found here.
