Chapterhouse is delighted to be returning to Nottinghamshire for their 25^th anniversary summer tour. This summer, residents will have the opportunity to enjoy Chapterhouse’s Little Women and Beauty and the Beast at a number of stunning Nottinghamshire Venues, as well as attend three amazing open air tribute concerts from Chapterhouse’s music arm 21^st Century Events in the beautiful Palace Gardens at Southwell Minster.

Chapterhouse Theatre Company are delighted to present Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming of age story this summer. Meet headstrong Jo March and her sisters Meg, Amy, and Beth. Each sister is determined to pursue her own path in life, but though their dreams may be different, their family ties remain as strong as ever. An uplifting and heartfelt tale of the March sisters’ journey into adulthood and all the trials and triumphs that come with it, Little Women features authentic costuming and a beautiful musical score.

About the Play

Laura Turner’s deft adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s semi-autobiographical story of self-discovery, Little Women sees the March sisters- beautiful Meg, tomboy Jo, gentle Beth, and wilful Amy- through the adventures of their youth to the trials of young adulthood. Jo weighs the affections of the March’s neighbour Laurie against her dreams of becoming a writer, and Amy longs to be an accomplished artist. Meg is enamoured of the steadfast John Brooke, and Beth wishes only to keep her family happy and whole. Against the turbulent background of the American civil war, the March sisters come into their own and must hold fast to their dreams through love, loss, heartache, and hope.
