ICE SKATING, CHOCOLATEY TREATS & AN EASTER PETTING ZOO
The National Ice Centre will be bringing the farm to the city for one whole weekend as part of this year’s exciting Easter Egg-stravaganza.
On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April 2019, the venue will be celebrating the Easter weekend with a packed two days of events for the whole family to enjoy, including ice skating, the chance to win chocolatey treats and meet some farmland animals.
The National Ice Centre is teaming up with White Post Farm for the event, who will be setting up an Easter petting zoo in the foyer. Animal fans can meet their favourite creatures from the farm, including cute bunnies and chirping chicks – as well as possible newborn lambs.
There will also be fun prizes to win with delicious chocolatey treats up for grabs, as well as Easter-themed arts and crafts including Easter bonnet making and face painting. Keep an eye out for our photographer who will be on-hand across the weekend, capturing the celebrations in full swing. The photos will be available on our Facebook page after the event.
All activities including the petting zoo will be open on both the Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Standard weekend skating times also apply (11am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 12pm, and 1.45pm to 5pm on Sunday). The Easter activities will be free to enjoy with the purchase of a skating ticket.
